Our Kitten Adoption Program is lovingly led by our experienced veterinary nursing team, who nurture every kitten as if they were their own. With expertise in neonatal care, fostering, and socialisation, we ensure each kitten receives the best possible start; from their first bottle feed to their first cuddle with their new family.
It's always heartwarming to see our adopted kittens return to the clinic for their regular health checks, happy and healthy in their new homes.
What's Included in Our Kitten Adoption Program
Every kitten available for adoption at North Rocks Vet receives:
- A full veterinary health examination
- Worming and flea treatment
- A two week quarantine period to ensure they are free from infectious disease
- Vaccination and microchipping once cleared
Many of our dedicated nurses also foster kittens in their own homes, providing the love, care and socialisation to help them grow into confident, well adjusted companions ready for adoption.
Kitten Adoption Fees
To help cover some of the veterinary care provided, we ask for a $250 adoption fee, which includes:
- Desexing (performed at NRVH when your kitten reaches 5 months of age)
- First Vaccination
- Microchipping
- Up to date flea and worm prevention
- A bag of premium kitten food
- A take home cardboard carrier
This small adoption fee supports the care we provide and helps us continue our mission of giving every second chance at life. Each kitten is thoroughly health checked and cared for by our experienced North Rocks Vets before joining their new family.

Yes. All kittens are vaccinated, microchipped, and given preventative flea and worm treatments before going to their new homes. This ensures each kitten adopted through North Rocks Vet Hospital is healthy and ready to join your family.
Absolutely! We encourage potential adopters to visit the hospital, spend time with the kittens, and get to know their personalities. It’s important that both you and your new kitten are the perfect match. We will arrange a time for you to visit once we contact you.
You can find us conveniently located in North Rocks, NSW, near Carlingford, Baulkham Hills, Epping, Telopea, Oatlands and West Pennant Hills. We’re open 7 days a week to support local pet owners and help kittens find loving homes.

Before adopting, make sure you have the essentials ready, a litter tray, scratch post, toys, and a quiet space to settle them in. Our veterinary nurses can guide you on nutrition, vaccinations, and ongoing care to help your kitten adjust comfortably. We do provide their first bag of food to help with your transition process.
